Colour to save the day

I have been working on a page here and there for my scrapbooking albums.  Last week I was working on a page for a mother/daughter date I had with teen3 and it needed a little something else.  I pulled out my paper flowers and thought they would give it that little something needed, but didn't have the colour to suit the page.  As I was holding it there I thought, "if  only it was the same colour as my nails"... bingo! I painted my nails, I can paint the flowers.

Out came the box of nail polish and I had an arty time with the colours.

close up - the lovely sheen was a delightful bonus.

the finished page.
Additional page elements included: lilac/purple floral paper, purple card stock, ribbon, silver metalic paper, cleaar rinestone stick-ons and holographic letter stickers.

It looks great--perfect for the occasion too, with teen3 doing a spot of modelling in her hat!
