Bed Time

The painting is finished and the smell has settled enough to allow our girl to move back into her room.

Assembling the new double bed was a quick task for our girl Ra and the Hubster. She is in love with the wrought iron and its heart swirls.

The day before yesterday two parcels arrived with the linen for teen 2's new bed. We had ordered it online and were unable to verify if the colours were correct. There were a few moments of breath holding as they were unwrapped and taken into the room to see if they worked...

The pale blue of the sheets is almost the exact colour of the pale walls. The blue of the doona cover isn't the same as the feature wall but it works with it quite well.

It was just as well the doona arrived when it did becasue last night was our first taste of winter. The temperature dropped lower than expected to just 15 degrees, which is quite chilly for Qld at this time of year. Our girl, Ra was happily snug in her new bed, doona, sheets and all.

To top it off she had the company of two cats who seem to have given their furry approval to the new arrangement too, so much so that when she wanted to photograph the bed in the morning light, it proved difficult to evict one of the kitties. He just jumped back on he bed and went right back to snoozing.

Pretty blues and furry cuteness! Gotta love the colour-matched computer in the bed too:) And wow doesn't having the size perspective of the bed show just how small that room really is. I'm glad it's working out so well.

But where are the bolsters? What do you wrap your legs round when you sleep?
