No not hubby and another. Running two diaries.
The diary on the right (decorated for me by teen 2) is a format I have been using and loving for many years. It features notes on the top page with generous days for each week in the bottom.
A quiet week
I used to carry it every where with me and keep track of what everyone in the household was doing. Regularly every bit of the week would be covered with notes etc. As the girls got older and life and work changed I switched to an electronic diary for my schedule with a wall calendar to keep track of the kids and general family activities. Then life changed again and out went the electronic diary bringing back the A5 diary. Then life changed again and I ditched the wall calendar and added a small diary to carry in my bag for my activities in between work (which took o=up most of my time) and the A5 diary became the "family diary". The double diary system has worked for me in various forms for about 20 years.
Now life has changed again and with it my needs and ways for keeping track of activities and commitments. The small diary will be put aside for a while and I will return to carrying the A5 diary on me personally. It will record my activities since I am home-based again as well as those of the rest of the family.
I am finding multiple areas in my life where I need to make adjustments with this most recent change. Some flow naturally and others require quite a bit of thought and don't feel natural at all. Still, i will take each day as it comes and try to focus on the here and now.

I print my own monthly calendar on 1 sheet of paper. I like having little empty boxes to fill in the who/where/when. Because I always forget which Friday is recycling day (every fortnight), I print that day GREEN. This monthly calendar is hung up and it's mainly for me because I need to know who/where/when.
You are much more organized than I will ever be! I keep track of things on a family calendar and spiral notebooks, including a small one in my purse. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments on my nightstands turned kitchen island!
